Arico Policía Local arrested two local youths on Saturday night for breaking and entering a church in Arico town and stealing liturgical items. They were caught red handed inside the church.
I'm not up on modern religious equipment terminology, but from what I understand, they were trying to get away with a crown, monstrance, tabernacle, incense burner, small chalice, container of holy water, four candelabras among other things.
It seems that the would-be thieves scaled a three-metre wall and then dropped down the other side ... a drop of seven metres.
Why???
