ROD STEWART to perform in Adeje Golf on 16 May 2009!

Producers Canarias Live Sun Festival have announced a Rod Stewart concert to be held on the 16th May 2009 in the Golf Costa Adeje, site of the recent Elton John concert.

The announcement reads : "Canarias Live Sun Festival has the honour of announcing that it has agreed a contract with Rod Stewart, one of the most important rock stars in history. Canarias Live Sun Festival intends to convert Tenerife into a venue for international concerts to promote tourism as well as provide cultural events for the residents of Tenerife. To this end, prestigious businesses in the tourist sector have demonstrated their support and expressed interest in this ambicious and impressive initiative. In this sense, the enormous success of the Elton John concert has created a magnificent projection of Tenerife worldwide, and with the confirmation of Rod Stewart's concert, we are pleased to announce that we are working to present another three great artists in 2009, in projects that have already been presented to the various public authorities".

Further details of the production and tickets will be released to the press over the next few days.

What another great coup for Tenerife! ROD STEWART!! Wonder who the other three will be!

Tickets will be on sale from 15 December for the Rod Stewart concert on 16 May at Golf Costa Adeje.

Tickets will be available from:

Tick Tack Ticket online at Tick Tack Ticket or by phone on 902 150 025, Carrefour ticket office, Base Deportes Salud, Travel Shop, Maya (Santa Cruz), Maya (Playa de Las Américas), Boutique Parah, and Generaltickets online at generaltickets.com.

All information related to hotels, airlines, and packages and special offers for the concert is available from the promoters' website www.canaryfestival.com. From here, too, will be available the still emerging details of the production itself, including any new points of tickets sales.

Prices will be:
General standing - 50€
Gold seated - 120€
Platinum seated (numbered seats facing the stage) 175€

Actually, now, I would! I think we'll have at least one more huge name, if not two, in 2009 apart from Rod Stewart ... maybe even three!

Canarias Live Sun Festival says that ticket sales have gone better than expected, even causing the lines to break down with the demand. In just four days they've sold 8,000, and the official promotion campaign hasn't even started yet!

At those prices??

I know a little hill which overlooks the concert stage ... at a distance, granted, but we could see and hear Elton John! Will be doing the same for Rod Stewart!
