The school, which is currently in construction, is situated in the La Jurada area, and is intended to relieve the pressure on the area's present CEIP Juan García Pérez, currently the largest infants and junior school in the Canaries, with 48 classes of some 20 children per class. The school is expected to open at some point during the 2009/10 academic year.
