Fred Olsen reduces ticket prices for the fourth time in four consecutive months

Fred Olsen is reducing its ticket prices on all lines from Monday because of the reduction in fuel surcharges. Tickets have gone down three times already in the last three months, and this final reduction means a total reduction from the middle of the year of around 20% ... they're saying more even than that for the "saver day returns packages" for residents taking cars.

The company says that it hopes to reduce ticket prices yet again on 1 January 2009, depending on the price of fuel, of course.

Fred Olsen Express will reduce tickets again from 1 January 2009 due to lower fuel prices, the fifth reduction in four months. The company also announced that it will make its customary Christmas donation this year, giving the total proceeds of Christmas Eve takings on the Tenerife-Gran Canaria routes to charity. This year’s charities will be the Canarian Foundation for the Treatment of Children’s Cerebral Palsy and the Canarian Heart and Life organisation which helps families with illnesses which need treatment outside of the Canaries.
