Police charge 65 year old Santa Cruz woman for throwing things at a gang of youths

Policía Local gave up trying to reason with a 65-year-old Santa Cruz woman and finally wrote out a charge sheet after she locked herself in her house and shouted abuse at them from the window. They had been called after there was an altercation in which she kept throwing oil, dirty water and bleach into the street on a group of youths who were annoying her. One slipped and injured himself, needing to be taken off to hospital.

The incident happened in the area of El Sobradillo, and the woman, who freely admitted throwing objects and liquids into the street, refused to identify herself and was aggressive to the police. After they'd been verbally attacked for long enough, and unable to gain access to the property, they duly started processing the paperwork.

I don't know why this amuses me so much ...

Sad isn't it - a more enterprising and less officious police force would have supported her by providing her with much more effective missiles, like hand granades...
