National Police are investigating a bank robbery which occurred last Friday morning in which two youths made off with just 160€ after assaulting clients and staff and threatening them with a knife in a branch in La Cuesta, La Laguna.
Of the 160€, 60€ came from one of the bank's customers, and all that was in the till at the time was 100€, and despite threats of violence, that's all they could get.
The youths made off rapidly with their
haul on a moped. Police say that this sort of incident has mutiplied considerably recently, especially in the metropolitan area of Tenerife.
