Two dead as car drives into barranco off the Guia de Isora road
Two men have been killed this morning in an accident on the Guía de Isora road near La Chiquita when the commercial car in which they were travelling drove into a barranco. Emergency services have been getting the car and its two victims out.

A few more details have now emerged ...
the commercial car was in fact a small laundry lorry, and the accident happened at around 8.15 am below the Guía de Isora road, and in fact in the Ricasa barranco on the Adeje to Los Gigantes road, about halfway between Armeñime and San Juan. The driver was an Edwing A.f., a 27-year-old La Laguna man.
The bodies of both victims have been taken to the Legal Medical Institute in Santa Cruz, and the Guardia Civil are following the usual procedures for such accidents.

We passed there this mornng just after 8 before the vehicle had been removed. Guardia and ambulances were all there.
It was in the deep Barranco between Mar Azul and the Abama. The car had gone over where the bridge is and had smashed away the concrete blocks that act as a barrier. I really don't know how that had happened.
On our way back at 10.30 it was mainly cleared except for hundreds of sightseers. Sick

any update on this accident? for me the possibility it was a blow out.......unless it was the unthinkable. the point of impact with the concrete blocks barrier was about 30mts from the bend at the bottom of the hill on the right hand side of the road.any news ?

me niether janet, but i have some canarian friends on the case, maybe it ,sjust us .. they dont seem to have the same inquisitive nature as us ex ... brits
