Spanish TV to broadcast New Year's Eve live from La Caleta

TVE2 and TVE's International Channel will broadcast the strokes of midnight as the New Year breaks live from the area of San Sebastián in La Caleta. Those who attend will be able to enjoy a great party, with fireworks, dancing, champagne, traditional grapes, and at the end of the night, hot chocolate with churros.

Adeje Council, who are organizing the event on the ground, have said that they hope everyone in the municipality will go to say goodbye to 2008 all together, with family, friends, acquaintances ... and that everyone will go to the plaza and enjoy an intimate and unforgettable New Year.

It'll be a traditional New Year's Eve affair, with free booze and snacks, music, and grapes for midnight. They've also got this thing with hot chocolate and biscuits ... can't remember its name right now. All laid on by Adeje Ayuntamiento, a real public party ... no formal programme of events. Should be fireworks too. Will go on well into the small hours. Have a look HERE for the sort of traditional things that will be on offer.
