Looks like Tenerife got hit by the tail-end of tropical storm 'Bertha' - if you look at the past sequence at Mid-Atlantic Weather Station's Hurricane/Tropical Storm Page you can see the tail of the storm over us - that would explain the high winds and VERY choppy seas over the last week.

The whole coast from Santa Cruz down to Las Galletas has been very choppy - loads of white horses all week - you notice these things when you are diving in the sea every day!

it,s a very overcast day today with no sign of any sun likely, saying that, it is still quite warm with a temperature reading this morning at 9.00am on the digital display in torviscas bajo of 22c and in my car of 22.5c .
