Most definitely! We used to go to the beach all through the six weeks school holiday. Lucky now if you get to the beach at all in our summers and you certainly can't plan ahead for it.
Our only real summer now is when we visit Tenerife!

We have our first snow. Teide is all white and snow capped this morning. It's fresh and cool too. This is the first morning our thermometer has been below 20 since last winter. It's a fresh 18 this morning.
Can't see the snow from here but can feel it at our altitude!
The news is reporting that the Teide road via La Esperanza, the TF14, is closed to traffic from km24 because of ice. They're working to open it again as soon as possible.

I can see Tenerife from my balcony even though I'm in Gran Canaria. I love lying on the beach here in the sun and gazing over at the snowcapped Mount Teide. There's something magical about being in the sun and being able to see snow too!
Actually I prefer the temperatures we have now. Summer is just too hot sometimes. I like it a little cooler but still warm. I know we don't have diverse seasons as such because we can have hot days in the winter too but I like a bit of rain now and then because it reminds me of home
