Default January

January can be a bit unpredictable, with cloudy and cool days interspersed with lovely Springlike weather. There is always the possibility of a serious downpour, though this shouldn't last too long and will usually clear to glorious blue skies within 24 hours or so. The evenings should be cool, so you will need sweaters or jackets.

Default February

As the turning point between winter and Spring, there is a greater possibility of calimas or sciroccos.

Default March

March in Tenerife is when Spring really seems to start, with mainly sunny weather and temperatures in the mid-20s. The evenings can be a little chilly.

March is recognized, however, as the month which is most difficult for those with breathing problems. This is due to the increased likelihood of calimas and sciroccos as the warmer weather arrives.

Default April

For April, assume beautiful summery weather in general with slight possibility of torrential downpour. It can be unchangeable at times, with occasional high winds. Bring summer things, but a sweater for cooler evenings if it clouds over.

Default May

May is when Tenerife really starts to warm up, with mainly cloudless days and temperatures in the high 20s. There might be a slight chill in the evenings, but May is glorious!

Default June

June really is the start of summer proper, with temperatures regularly in the high 20s, and getting into the low 30s late in the afternoons. The evenings should be balmy with light cool breezes.

Default July, August and September.

These three months are the height of Summer and temperatures should be regularly in the 30s. The temperature increases through these three months, and September can therefore be a little uncomfortable for those who don't like their weather too hot! The evenings will be balmy and warm, and skies will be largely cloud free.

Default October

October in Tenerife is the beginning of Autumn, when things finally start to cool down ... though it is often the end of October before this becomes noticeable. The evenings can be a little chilly occasionally, but they are usually still very comfortable.

November, like February, can be a bit unpredictable, with cloudy and cool days interspersed with lovely Springlike weather. There is always the possibility of a serious downpour, though this shouldn't last too long and will usually clear to glorious blue skies within 24 hours or so. The evenings should be cool, so you will need sweaters or jackets.
