Default Help, I’ve changed my Sky box and I’m having problems

I have the same Sky box, just a newer model. If I press the TV guide on the remote it just says ‘please wait searching’ but that’s as far as I get. If I go up channels on the remote it goes from 101 to 105, then just reverts back to 101, but if I press the numbers 113 it takes me to the living channel. If I press 501 for Sky news it says channel unavailable, likewise with other channels. Can anyone offer any help as I am now pulling my hair out with it

Why don't you pop in and have a little word with the lady at Astra Satellite in Silencio. She is very helpful (she has helped me often enough) and should be able to answer your questions.

I did this just before you post. Hubby connected the old box back up and the frequency is the same. He whacked the old machine in temper and guess what? It has started working again so I have packed up the new one for now

your new box has very o0ld software so it has not been plugged in for quite a long time....
