Hi
First time in Tenerife during the Xmas week. Where can I find programs of events in the south/south-west villages of the island? Links, websites, tips, are welcome. what would be typical to do/see and where?
We took our grandson Tyler James to see Father Christmas at the fair today (saw a few forum members too )
Have to say for a 7 month old baby, he was brilliant, did all the smiles and poses that he should have (will post pic) didn't get freaked at a guy dressed in red with white hair and beard (all his own!) Sat on his lap!!!!
Yes I know it's not allowed in the UK, but this particular SC is also a good friend of ours, and it's got to be done!! (silly bloody rule anyhow imo) and we won a big green dinosaur on the tombola too!
Lovely morning all in all

Well as a resident here for 11 years I can say that some years, you could have a picnic on the beach and go swimming in the sea. Other years you couldn't
But either way it's never as cold as the UK on Christmas day

Where are the fireworks New years eve?
Last year I HAD THE BEST NEW YEAR IN MY LIFE! Our Daughter and Son in Law joined us............. We had a lovely meal cooked by our chief cook ..Son in law John ....excellent ...followed by a trip to the roof at midnight to watch 360degrees fireworks displays from all the towns and villages surrrounding us
It was the most spectacular display...................I would like to catch that moment again!

Same in Tenerife. We can see all the west coast fireworks from up here, and over at La Gomera as well, and consistently the best for me recently have been Alcalá's. From Callao Salvaje though, it might be worth popping across to Playa Paraiso because their displays have always been pretty good too.
