Default Must Do in Tenerife.

If for instance I was a tourist coming to Tenerife for say just a week what would you recommend as a "must do " and maybe a little why.

There are so many things that I have not done yet and would love a few ideas.

Tom

Visit El Teide National Park. It's surprising how many visitors come back time and time again and never venture there.

Get out of the tourist beachy type of resorts and explore the rest of Tenerife - I am always amazed at what I find when I go off exploring

I like Los Gigantes Harbour - not sure why, but it just seems to be 'something'

Puerto de la Cruz is a great place to visit.

I know its corny but there are some great boat trips ....

paragliding - i know there's lot of places in the world you can do this but paragliding over puerto colon on a clear day is spectacular and great fun

sgd - not corny at all, we've been on some great boat trips and the one to los giantes is fantasic (we're going again this time) - you can even spot some dolphins and whales on the way.

I personally love Loro Parque !! and everyone I've taken as always enjoyed it as well.
My grandkids especially ( and I know where the parrot that says Hola lives so there!)

What an excellent thread Tom!!!

We went family quadbiking last November and it was fabulous. It was late afternoon so the weather was starting to cool and the sun was going done.

We were whizzing around, having the time of our lives on the natural terrain. Lots and lots of fun!

Those are the main ones, what I meant was there are a lot of choices, some where you are all crammed on, others where it is a litle more select

I like the ones where you get the opportunity to stop and have a swim (or a flap) around one of the quiet bays.
