Sorry but no, the roads aren't a plus point! Having qued on the motorway every day at Guaza, having driven through Silencio endlessly, I just can't agree.

maybe not a plus point for some....but we are taking about tourism/tourists...arent we.

We tourists avoid the rush hours...

and the local residential area trouble spots

Went up to El Medano for the day last weekend to spend the day on the beach..granted the junction off the TF1 down into town was a bit strange but no probs really

also was driven up the mountain by a friend to Vera de Ereques it took only 10 - 15 minutes from leaving our place in Los Cris to get there.. a bit steep in places but the roads themselves were fine....

I think the roads are great, yes you have to queue but its an island where many people are concentrated in a small area but the quality of them is very good and should not put a visitor off hiring a car.

Even up in the Mountains, the roads are mainly good quality, not like other holiday destination where you have to basically drive down a goat track to get anywhere

The measures in the G&T's

The STUNNING scenery

The not-so many Mosquitos

No wasps

No snakes

In fact, no dangerous wildlife at all!
