Default What is the best way to bring our money over to Tenerife?

What is the best way to bring our money over to Tenerife at the moment - we were thinking that bringing cash as an option this time - we usually bring travellers cheques but considering the financial climate we are unsure what to do.
Can anyone advise please?

Coming on Friday!!!!
Thanks Jan x

A Nationwide debit card is cost-effective. No charges at the ATMs here and a good rate of exchange.

I agree with Torr. The exchange rate you will get by pulling cash from an ATM will be as good at least but not worse than if you changed sterling to euros before you travel.

No no Jan, you can use any current account debit card! Ours used to be First Direct.
