Im in london and heathrow would be by far the most convenient place to fly from and to, because then all id have to do is get a bus to wherever i need to go (see friends, etc). Are there many flights from and to heathrow (for some reason i get the impression that gatwick has more flights)? And how much does it cost (just a flight)? And what about the airport in the north, can you fly there or is it just for travelling between the islands?

Sorry to constantly be asking questions but theres so much that i dont know. What i can offer is advice about the language, if anyone wants to know anything.

I don't know about other carriers but Iberia has several flights daily from Heathrow Terminal Two to Tenerife North (Los Rodeos) airport. The flights are not direct...you have to stop for a connection in Madrid, Barcelona or Sevilla.

Costs are high as these are scheduled flights, not charters. Round trip could be anywhere from €300 upward, although their web page offers lower prices....but not sure if that is for flights to the north airport.

You could check out their website and enter your travel dates to see what's available and how much it costs.

I'm leaving in a few days for London via Iberia from the north airport but as I made a late booking and have to connect to a Canadian flight, I had to take a more expensive option. Good Luck. The north airport is very modern and efficient now. It's cool and clean. Taxis and buses are lined up right outside the doors of the arrivals lounge and there's a taxi monitor person to ensure that people wait their turn and no one jumps the taxi queue.

Just punch in the airline into your search engine & check out the flight prices on line, all the web sites are there for you.

If you go via Madrid I would add in extra time for a delay, I have not heard anyone who has travelled that way & never been delayed

Best go direct, if it is London area you wish to fly from, Gatwick & Stanstead, have way more direct cheaper flights

Ive had a look around and flights are in the hundreds. I thought flights to Tenerife were cheap.

The best way to find out is use this website - Cheap flights - low cost and budget airline specialist in Europe & Australasia - this website scans all the airlines and gives you the quickest route and also the best deal. Once it has found you the best deal, it will then direct you the airline’s website where you can book your flight without having to pay any agents fees.
