Default A dentist question and 12 more sleeps!

Hello again! It's just 12 more sleeps until we leave for Tenerife yay!!!!

One question though, I have a crumbling tooth, but can't get into the dentist before I leave. If it "goes" does anyone know of a dentist in Los Cristianos that could be consulted if needs be.

Thanks

I am sure there are plenty of dentists some speak English that will be able to help you if the need arises.

I too thought it would be very 'third world' when I moved here but I am pleasantly surprised that dentists are better in my opinion & cheaper, than the UK ever can hope to be & we used or rather had to use private dentists there

Enjoy your holiday

I'm sure that I have seen a Dentist sign above above the shops in church square Los Cristianos.

As others kind members have said manchesterman, there's lots of Dentists in Tenerife and from what I've heard, they are excellent. Cin has posted details of one in the Business Reviews Section of the Forum. It may even be worth your while financially, to get your tooth sorted while your in Tenerife rather than in the UK. Have a great Holiday

I'm cringing posting this as the thought of going to the Dentist is usually a nightmare for me. I must be building up my confidence

A lot of Brits use the dentists "Dr Speaficos" near HyperTrebol in Los Cristianos. They accept private patients even with or without private health/dental insurance. If you have to have the tooth removed they'll charge about 70-80€ if you don't have insurance, but this would be free if you have a private dental policy, which ponly takes a week to get. If its just a filling it would about the same price without insurance and 35-48€ with. Their tel no is 922-790-563 and they do speak excellant English.

I wasn't suggesting anything "third world"!! I just wanted some reassurance that I could get help. I don't want to waste a moment of my time on your island worrying about a gammy tooth if possible!!!!!

Thanks all!

You will be riveted and relieved to know that I finally gave up on the tooth this week and had it removed.

Was I a brave soldier in the dentist chair? Was I buggery, I screamed the place down!!!
