A week of pleasure!

Well, I'm back after a week of pure pleasure on Tenerife.

To my shame I did not visit a lot of the island and I did not meet any of the board members who kindly offered to meet, but I and my party had a ball.

The weather was superb, our accomodation was wonderful - the restaurants and bars we visited were exceptional (give or take the odd "Blues Brothers tribute!). We enjoyed long walks along the coast (ok only Los Cristianos to PDLA) but we felt utterly at peace and can't wait to get back.

Can I mention two restaurants and a couple of bars in which we enjoyed exceptional service? I will if I can!

Only down point in Los Cristianos - too many Blues Brothers and Elvis acts! But even without that - it's still a brilliant place to holiday. So don't worry about Marmite or can I buy tea bags (yes you can!)

It's fun and lively, so get yer backsides on a plane if you're "not sure"!!!!

There are three venues which I would not hesitate to recommend - "Rubini" - is a pizza and pasta restaurant which does beautiful fresh and tasty pizza's (didn't try the pasta!) and is an oasis of calm with quieter, softer music. "Restauant Coy" next to Los Diamantes is just like an old fashioned Spanish restaurant - excellent steaks and salad and really lovely old fashioned service. At the livlier end of things "Bojangles" is everything you could want in a cabaret bar. Good quality acts, fun kareoke and a glamourous hostess (Monique). We also enjoyed "The Piano Bar" can't recall the name of the lady playing, but she had a brilliant selection of tunes on the quieter side of music. Just right to relax after filling yer face in the other venues!!!!!

If you are looking for an appartmento - try Home - Beautiful, one-bedroom, private apartment available in Los Cristianos, Tenerife - a vested interest here, I'm friends with one of the owners, but it is in a lovely complex
(Los Diamantes) only down side, it's at the top of "Cardiac Hill"!!!

God I wish I was back!!!!
