Smile Places to Swim

Hi,
Can anyone reccommend good (and maybe unusual) places to swim in the south of Tenreife. I wasn't thinking of the beaches in the main resorts, but, but perhaps members know of smaller, isolated coves or beaches that would be good to visit.

Thanks Folks!!

el puertito is lovely... if you go towards armeñime on the los gigantes road, take the turning that goes left just before armeñime, towards the back of playa paraiso and stay on the road. it's a tiny village with a small but nice beach. gets very packed at weekends, though (the locals use it mostly)

Poris de Abona, lovely sheltered beach for the east coast, and a nice little bay, with a nice coffee shop too ....

I agree with CG. Always lovely to swim in El Puertito!

If you walk towards the lighthouse from Palm Mar there are some lovely little "bays" where you can enter the sea. Really lovely!

You can do that in the little bays I mentioned. Just let me know if you are going to bare all. I walk the dog that way and I would have to shield her eyes as she's only little. The children will gawp though...

No, not a nuddy beach... just some "secluded" areas if you "dare to bare".

Mr FLS and I had a mad idea once while in Tenerife and decided to walk from Torviscas to Playa Paraiso yes I know I can hear you saying are they mad.

Anyway...... after La Caleta there's just scrubland and rocks, miles of it! But in the midst of depression when you can't turn round because it's just as far to go back as carry on you stumble across the nudists!

It gave us a lift I can tell you!!
