Lovely place when the wind is in a westerly direction, on average 50 days a year, the rest of the time forget it, unless you want a good sand blasting. It is the wind surfing spot for Tenerife, because of the wind.

El medano is beautiful ,spanish style ,and summer is not as hot as other places in this island,good place to live if you don't mind the wind blows your cap off all the time.

Have had an appartment here since 1990/91
Sure the wind blows a bit it helps keep the tourists away very canarian over summer holidays & weekends You're more likely to hear Spanish than English much of the time

You either love it or hate it

Actually the wind is not as bad as its reputation
