Default Los Cristianos Tenerife

What are your views on Los Cristianos, do you like the harbour, the beach, the restaurants ? Do you feel they have improved the area or is there more to do ?

I must admit we haven't seen much of a change. It's still basically the same as it was 30 years ago. Some of the roads have been revamped, and its stretched a bit, but as I say much the same. Having said that I think it's OK

I like walking on the dyke in the harbour, you can feel the wind trough your hair and look at the endlessness of the ocean, and if you walk back, you have a great view of the whole resort.

Then go to the building where the fisherboats are, go up the steps and have a drink and a snack in the fishermansbar.

Well we only went there on holidays with the kids before we moved here, and a long time ago. But the area around the port and the original beach next to it.
Happy memories. Beach in the day, fishing off the harbor in the afternoon eating the catch for tea and a nice walk and cold beer at night. Now we live here we don't get to the south very often

I cant agree with that, population I would say has trebled. Las Vistas beach didn't exist, it was just rocks, San Telmo walkway was unpaved and half the width. The pedestrian road behind the church was mainly apartments and garages and had two way traffic Main promenade now double the width.
Five times the amount of greenery now. No traffic lights, slippery tiled pavements, and finally prices now 20 times higher.
I would say an awful lot of changes, mainly for the better.

does anybody remember the carpenters/woodmachinery shop right on the front overlooking the harbour before there was a man made walkway next to the beach ? it was where the burger-king is now or was in that stretch! it has changed vastly in the last 20 years........ and even more so the developement of the san telmo side after the tunnel......
