Arising from a Snowbirds picture on the Where Today thread, can anyone clarify the beaches in La Caleta?
I know there's a town beach, just a small one, and also know La Enramada ... is this the beach with the little beach bar? Or is that a different one?
There's also Playa Diego Hernandez ... different beach?
There is also some talk about Spaghetti beach, as a nudist beach in a natural cove. Is this yet another beach, or just another/English name for Playa Diego Hernandez, which I understand is a nudist beach.
Based on limited local knowledge and internet press reports:-
Never been there but if you walk north of La Caleta along some tracks you will come to some secluded coves, one of which is Playa de Diego Hernandez the nudist beach (see you there sometime Janet )
The main beach between Costa Adeje Palace and La Caleta is called Playa de la Enremada. I believe it is in two parts and it is the northern part which has been refurbished this year and was referred to as El Chiringuito and the beach bar which was there has been removed. There is a large rock at the southern end of Playa de la Enramada which is a Mirador near the Adeje Palace. This is the view from it to La Caleta:-

superb shot i must say ..snowbirds , the white building in the middle of the pic would denote, in my opinion, the start of el chiringuito (beach) going towards the pink(ish) hotel in the background.
as you say the southern part of "enramada " finished there at the white building from your vantage point. the nudist beaches i too have yet to know of .... maybe one day .. janet ..

I've seen El Chiringuito from the road, and it looked gorgeous ... wonder why they "refurbished" it
I was told that it was refurbished so that a newer, bigger beach could make more money. My wife and I used to love the little beach and its beach bar... I hope it hasn't become too expensive. We're going back soon and I'm very curious to see what it's like.
Does anyone know exactly how to walk to Playa de Diego Hernandez, the hippy nudist beach? We've been trying for find it for years. Thanks!

Just follow your way through the Village to the furthest point along the coast and you will see some pink steps going up between the apartments. Go up the steps and follow the coastal path over the top. 1st is the rocky hippy beach then follow on to the sandy nudist beach.
Should take about 25 mins and wear trainers not flip flops lol as its a bit rough.

Good luck

You're not kidding about the walk being a bit rough! Signy and I walked from Torviscas passing through El Duque and La Caleta to Playa Paraiso once.
We did look down on the nudist beach - interesting It looked lovely down there but we were too overdressed
