Just heard of a well paid job today in the South which remains unfilled.

2,000 -2,200 per month, indefinido, private health insurance, bonuses - you need to speak fluent Englsh & Spanish and have a University Degree (to work in a bank - but no banking experience necessary - pm if you need more details)

I've lived here for 5 years and I've yet to meet a young ex pat with a university degree, somehow I don't think there'll be many applicants from this forum ..... I hope I'm wrong.

I'm happy to send you the details CG if you want. I know someone is leaving on 15 August and a replacement is needed - and the bank has German clients, so someone trilingual would have an advantage.

I'm glad to say I have sent details to two people so far, but it is an interesting point GB makes - I wonder do graduates not normally stay on the island?

thanks, doreen, but i have my own little business...

i guess those ex pats with a degree that leave the island know that there is no proper career for them here. some of my uni friends are currently doing their master here, some of the others went to the mainland where, in cities like madrid and barcelona, they felt they could make more of their life.

Have to agree of the 4 members on the Spanish side of the family with degrees two work in the Peninsular, one is looking for work in Mexico, and the other is doing 'work experience' for the BBVA on a monthly contract.
As my wife puts it 'You need an awful lot of manga to get a good job'
